Living on Bitcoin July 2021
People have been trying to live on Bitcoin for years with varying degrees of success. It is getting easier every month. The pace of improvement has clearly accelerated in 2021. Our goal is to help everyone move to a Bitcoin-based economy. We will periodically publish a simple diagram showing the essential pieces to ‘Living on Bitcoin’. Here’s our July 2021 version.
Over the past five years, I have tested 4 banks, 5 exchanges, (3 Bitcoin interest accounts), and 12 + wallets. Note: I live in the US. As of July 2021, I am personally using eTrade bank, eTrade debit card, the CoinBase Pro exchange, BlueWallet, and 2 Ledger hard wallets. I also run my own Bitcoin and Lightning nodes, but that is not technically essential.
